The legend returns.

Nintendo is releasing the brand new, yet classic style Mega Man 9, the sequal to Mega Man 8, which was last seen on the Playstation. Mega Man 9 will be launching to Wii-Ware soon. Interesting and exciting. Here are a couple screen shots for your viewing pleasure.

Period of retributive deprivation.

Sorry to any members who may have a ".cn" on the end of their email, but after researching this particular definition it led to a none too desirable web location. I have made the decision to ban any and all members with .cn in their email. I am under the strong impression that all of these members were bots anyhow, so this shouldn't apply to actual people.

As for gaming, I just snagged a copy of Beetle Adventure Racing for the good ol' N64 from Amazon.com. This is a classic racing game, fun and simple. Pete and I used to play it quite often as young nerds, I suppose before we actually knew we were nerds.

I've also checked out the demo's recently released on the PSN, including Battlefield Bad Company, which I can give my thumbs up on, as well as the new Civilization. The new PSP demos including the the Secret Agent Clank, and God of War get good reviews, with GOW just suffering from a slight frame rate issue. The new Flatout PSP demo is actually fun if you enjoy racers. Its smooth frame rate and ported but solid physics engine make for a fun handheld experience.

I am also excited about the new 2.4 update for the PS3 which will include trophies for game achievements, as well as in game cross media bar access. This means playing music, receiving and sending messages etc., while not dumping you out of your game to do so.

As for our influence
Saturday 21 June 2008 - 17:38:02

It has come to my attention that halolz.com has either 1. A very intelligent writer, or 2. A colossal amount of respect for Swaptrick's brand of humor. Note the top banner on that website, and compare that with our 158th comic. There may be a slight similarity here. Regardless of who made this connection between the words "Brawl" and "Lawl" as having nearly identical aural characteristics first, I can attest that mine is entirely legit and original. As for theirs, who knows? Perhaps they are in the clear, but come on, who really believes there's someone else out there capable of this level of hilarity? Besides, that banner is the most humorous thing present on their site, as opposed to the comical harvest that is Swaptrick.com.

Comic is coming
Saturday 21 June 2008 - 04:12:07

The first 2 frames of the comic are done. Things have been incredibly busy for me recently, I apologize for the lateness which has become a usual thing.

As for gaming, I just finished MGS4, and the ending credits are rolling up the screen to my right as I type this. This has been one of the best gaming experiences I have ever had in my entire life. It is certainly the best in the MGS series, and does very well to bring closure to this legacy. All the questions are answered, while pockets of history are still open for research, if you are nostalgic enough to do so. Plenty of things happen that are unexpected, and plenty of emotions have run through my head, from high to low and everywhere in between. This game is being held in high regards for a real reason, and it has created an experience I haven’t had in the gaming world since 1998.
